Gorgeous Amelia was our first of three Memorial Day weekend brides, and she and her crew started off the weekend with beauty and style.
Amelia is a pet vet in the city, and came to me through her friend Sarah, who was a bride of mine two years ago. We love legacy clients! I got the chance to do Sarah’s makeup as a bridesmaid this time, and we caught up during the makeup application. She’s due with her first baby this summer!
Most fun for me, Amelia wanted a more sculpted eye look with some smoke. Only too happy to oblige, I pulled out my Viseart kits and got to work. We added a full lash strip and did some serious eyeliner work, too. But really, look at that skin!
The bride wanted to mirror some of the flower appliqué on her dress, so hairstylist Jess added a few tiny baby’s breath flowers to Amelia’s polished waves. New Yorkers can always use more whimsy!
Now, my favorite part of the wedding day: Edie, the couple’s super-soft, friendly, loving pup! She told me she wants to be my new assistant, and despite her lack of opposable thumbs, I would welcome her anytime. She would bring joy to every bridal suite and diffuse any nervousness or tension. Alas, the happy couple wants Edie all to themselves – and I understand! She’s an angel in a (freshly groomed) dog suit. Here she is, in her close-up.
Many thanks to Amelia for inviting the SB Beauty team to her wedding prep!
