Can I book a pre-wedding makeup/hair trial? How far ahead can I book your services?
Absolutely! We can either schedule your makeup and hair trial before you book—or after booking, a few months before your wedding day. And you can book us a year or more in advance. We highly recommend you contact us as soon as possible—it’s not unusual for us to be full on Saturdays over a year in advance.
Do I have to schedule a bridal trial for my hair or makeup?
No, you are not required to schedule a trial session. However, we advise local brides to book a trial with one of our beauty artists so you can perfect your wedding day look. SB Beauty offers complimentary phone consultations to discuss your vision and schedule your trial.
How can I prep for my bridal trial?
Thanks for asking! To make the trial process as seamless as possible, please bring the following:
- A photo or two of your stunning dress
- Several inspiration images of makeup and hairstyles you like
- Any hair accessories you’d like to incorporate into your look
With these materials, your SB Beauty artists will come up with a game plan to create a wedding day look that enhances your natural beauty.
Will I have the same artist on my wedding day as I do for my trial?
Definitely! Before we book your trial date with SB Beauty artists, we confirm she is also available for your wedding day. After your trial and retainer agreement, we will put together a detailed timeline for your big day. Once you book, your retainer payment secures the artist for your wedding—keeping the process as unified and flawless as your look.
I’d like to know more about my bridal beauty timeline. How does it work?
For you, it’s simple and stress-free! Once we have the necessary details—including number of attendants, and photo and ceremony schedule—we create the timeline for you. Working closely with your wedding planner, photographer, and you, we assemble a detailed and flexible agenda that accounts for last-minute changes, guest lateness, interruptions, and unforeseen speed bumps.
Do you have recommendations for facials, waxing, and spray tanning?
Of course! We suggest getting your eyebrows waxed or threaded no later than four days prior to your wedding. For facials, we recommend getting a light “glow and go” facial with no extractions about a week in advance.
Our makeup artists can color-match your foundation to your skin tone, so you don’t need to worry about a spray tan matching unless that’s part of your look. You do you.
